Logan Vaughn is a New York-based director and writer working across theatre, film, and audio storytelling. Her work is grounded in original, character-driven narratives that illuminate the complexities of human behavior through emotionally rigorous and visually expressive form.

Her work as an educator and professor spans more than a decade. She was an Associate Professor of Acting at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and has taught master classes, workshops, and guest lectured at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Northwestern University, SUNY Purchase, and Roosevelt University.

As a theatre director, she has developed and directed new work at Williamstown Theatre Festival, MCC Theater, The Public Theater, South Coast Repertory, Sundance Theatre Lab, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Geva Theatre Center, Barrington Stage Company, Audible Originals, and New York Stage & Film, among others. Her work has been recognized with an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for Best Direction of a Play (The Light, MCC Theater), and her production of Nina Simone: Four Women (South Coast Repertory) received seven NAACP Theatre Award nominations.

Across mediums, Logan develops new work in close collaboration with writers and creative teams, shaping bold, character-driven stories from inception.

Her short film BENNY & JAMES premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival as part of the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase, where it received Best LGBTQ+ Short Film. The film also earned Best Director and Best Cinematography at the Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase, Best SAGindie at the 2023 HollyShorts Film Festival (Oscar-qualifying), LGBTQ+ Short Film of the Year at the 2024 Los Angeles Indie Short Film Festival, and the Grand Prize for Film of the Year at the 2024 Dumbo Film Festival.

She has shadowed episodic directors on FOX’s A.P.B. and Paramount Network’s WACO. Her audio work includes the eight-episode series Between Me & You (Simpson Street & Audible Originals), by Allison Winn Scotch and Pete Chiarelli, starring Jurnee Smollett and Stephanie Hsu, as well as Soothsayers by Nathan Alan Davis for Audible Originals—both currently available on Audible.
